I have always been looking for ways to work with people in a way that is healing, nurturing, and nourishing. First through the lens of food sustainability at Hampshire College, and later after I earned my Master’s in Waldorf education as an elementary school teacher of first and second graders. Working as a doula has felt the most right, the most in keeping with the type of service I wish to offer — that’s Service with a capital ‘S’, one’s great, vital work as a human being.

My practice as a doula is to never enter a birthing room the same way as the last one. I like to take a collaborative approach to the process of birth and labor, meeting my clients where they are and finding out what works for them, so I can use my skills and expertise within that framework. A method that works perfectly for one person might be completely off-putting to another, so I keep lots of tricks and techniques in my toolbelt in order to find the ones that work best for you!

I’ve outline my training below in more detail. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Side projects:

Outside of birthwork I have worked in kitchens for the past several years as a bread and pastry baker. I have a sweet cat with a spicy streak who keeps me company when I’m relaxing at home. I also love sewing and knitting things, tending plants in pots, making music with people, and spending time in the great outdoors.
